  • This new update is expected to stabilize Windows 11 builds.

  • The roll-out will be available on both Dev and Beta Channels.

  • Some features may be permanently removed when upgrading.

The long awaited Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22000.160 has just been dropped. It is expected to address a handful of fixes and improvements especially to those who have been testing next generation Windows.

This ISO release is expected to give you a clean installation or ‘out of the box experience’ and build excitement when installing Windows 11. You can check previous releases for ISOs here.

New Upgrades Means More Stability

The development team has advised users in the Dev channel to switch to the Beta channel especially if they are interested in more stable builds.

Changes And Improvements

  • The Windows 11 Clock app has begun rolling out for users in the Dev Channel.

  • The ‘location in use’ notification on the taskbar previously seen despite being blocked by your set preferences has now been fixed.

Known Issues

  • Those on the Beta Channel have reported that the taskbar is not visible after upgrading to Windows 11 and the start menu is not functioning. If you are impacted, try going to windows update and uninstall the latest update then reinstall by checking for updates.

  • Widgets displayed may be in a different size on external monitors. If you encounter this, launch the said widgets via a PC shortcut WIN + W then launch secondary on your monitor.

  • We are also investigating an issue where on some devices, when a user navigates to Settings > Windows Update > Windows Insider Program, only the “Stop getting preview builds” option is visible. This makes it impossible to select a channel. Please visit here for a workaround.

Important Reminder

  • If upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 or when installing an update to Windows 11, please note that some features may be deprecated or removed. See further details here
