Did Instagram Remove Multiple Photos? Where to Find It?

Posted by   on

Instagram’s updates have been crucial in removing bugs and optimizing the apps for easy sharing of photos. But many, inadvertently, introduce a few as well. It appears that a recent update has impacted users’ ability to share multiple photos in a post. Here’s everything you need to know about it and how can you still add multiple photos to create a carousel.

Did Instagram Remove Multiple Photos?

Up until a recent update, users could add multiple photos to a post via the “Select Multiple” option. This is what it looked like:

But some users have found, much to their dismay, that this option is not where it used to be anymore. Fortunately, however, the feature hasn’t been removed.

Where Is Multiple Button?

Instead of seeing a clear option that says ‘Select Multiple’ in bold words, some iOS users don’t see any option at all.

Many Android users have been affected as well since they only get the icon for the ‘Select Multiple’ option.

Nevertheless, the ability to pick multiple photos is not affected by the bug in any way for either platform.

How to add multiple pictures when you do not see the ‘multiple button’

For iOS users, if you can’t find the ‘Select multiple’ button, simply tap and hold down on any photo.

Now you will see a small circle at the edge of the photos. This means you can select multiple pictures for your Instagram post again. So go ahead and tap on the pictures that you want for your carousel post.

Android users affected by the bug can do the same. Just tap on the icon, or tap and hold on a photo to be able to select multiple photos.

Folks at Instagram have announced that they’re working on a fix for the bug. So until it goes away, this slight adjustment should work just fine. Be on the lookout for new app updates to install as these can weed out the bug in future iterations of Instagram.
